The Alpha Deathworm is known as a kind of group of Alpha Predators that shows up in ARK Survival Evolved. But, this creature just only turns up in Scorched Earth, so if you want to see this one, you need to move to Scorched Earth. Let’s find out some details about this creature now!

Basic Info

It will chase you down if you accidently get into its agro range. This chase will keep going on until you get out of its range, which is very similar to other deathworm. While running behind you, it’s able to despawn. If you don’t want to despawn to happen, just make sure that you can make it turn up each of minute or even less than that because they don’t have a long time for despawn. If it’s not aggressive, it will become very static like other usual deathworms.

It has the same appearance as normal Dearthworm, but it’s kind of way bigger!

It was found in the northern and western parts of the map in the middle of sand dunes.

You shouldn’t utilize a rock elemental to battle against the deathworm since they perform decreased damage to deathworms while the deathworms give out a large amount of damage, which kills them faster.

A good domesticated Rex that has more than 10000 health and up to 400% damage is able to knock one out even though its health dramatically decreases. Therefore, you should bring some Rexes or a buddy and let them stay away from it then launch your attacks with fire arrows to it.

You can try making it turn up with a quick dinosaur in order to kill it. You do so by sprinting or flying straightly towards it, the  get past directly, jumping off and launching it with fire arrows when you’re away from it with a nice distance. This method is effective enough since it’s awake longer than a usual deathworms, and it will get injured from the fire damage while it’s under the ground.

Fire arrows

100+ tamed Rex(es) with 10k health and 400% damage

Lightning Wyverns level 150 and more are also really effective

Alpha Deathworm is able to assault you anytime it can, and it’s very difficult to let you know where it is until it turns up from the ground. Therefore, you must be ready for them all the time! But this is an Alpha with a red glow on it, you should learn this feature because it will help you figure out which one is an Alpha among the deathworms. The aura on its location is still seen when it’s underground.

The Alpha Deathworm shares the same weakness with the usual Deathworms, like utilizing a Rock Elemental for tanking its attacks.

Together with Alpha Fire Wyvern, these both creatures were launched in Scorched Earth.

20 Deathworm Horns were released by the Alpha Deathworm after it dies, which is kind of very helpful for a tribe trying to domesticate a Mantis.

Different from the normal deathworm, the Alpha Dealthworm possesses more melee damage and up to 27,000 health than the normal one does, only 20,000 health.
