Basic Info

Dossier

Wild: Allosaurus is not big, comparing to Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus is smaller but quicker than it, but when comparing to Carnotaurus, it’s bigger but slower than it. Allosaurus therotribus is known as a theropod that usually hunts in the pack of the island. Most of other hostile theropods are sort of lonely, while this Allosaurus usually comes out with 3 or 4 members in the groups.

Known Information: Allosaurus has developed for hunting in various packs. With the saw-pointed teeth, it can use this feature to make the prey and opponents bleed, which is really hard to make a great escape. If an Allosaurus reduces the speed of a creature using its strong bite, the rest of the group will begin to attack and finish the kill.

Domesticated: Taming an Allosaurus is not always a good idea! The tribes who care about the speed will try to domesticate Carnotaurus, while the tribes who concern about raw stopping power will make an effort to domesticate Tyrannosaurus. Nevertheless, when someone rides on Allosaurus, he/she usually appraise the usage of the Alpha pack status.

Behavior

Allosaurus is kind of hostile and it’s willing to launch attacks to other dinosaurs or humans in its sight.

Pack

Allosaurus will come out with 3 members in the groups all the time. However, these packs will combine if they bump into each other. Provided that a group has at least 3 Allosaurus, the highest level one will get a pack boost, and it can be realized by a bright red aura. The pack boost can be used for untamed and tamed Allosaurus, which will give out some benefits, such as:

  • The damage increases from 35 to 52.5
  • Withstand 25% of damage
  • An additional assault (click right mouse button) which will reduce the speed of the target and deal bleeding damage.
  • The skill for roaring while being mounted on alpha (key C) if the Alpha shouts, the rest ones in the group will do the same.
  • The Allosaurus with the Alpha Boost will get these increases. But in the bigger groups, lots of Allosaurus will have a chance to become the Alpha.

Appearance

An Allosaurus is just like a big Carno or a tiny Rex. However, a closer research exposes several crucial discrepancies. Allosaurus has bigger arms than a Rex and Carno. Its head and back even have several dispersed plates, which is more than a Rex. Above the eyes of Allosaurus has the armor, which is just similar to Carno. You can notice Allosaurus easily by searching for the tiny red and orange aura around the back of the leader in the group.

Color Scheme and Regions

Let’s check out the natural colors and regions of Allosaurus now! To get the proof, the areas below are painted in red on a white Allosaurus. The painted squares displayed right below every region’s description are the colors which this creature will generate at random in order to offer a general range of the congenital color scheme. Move your mouse cursor over a color for showing the name and ID.

The color scheme info is extracted straightly from the ARK DevKit and it should be seen as accurate.

The server admins are able to utilize the region info in the console command like this “cheat SetTargetDinoColor ”

For instance, using “cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6” would help paint the body magenta of Allosaurus.

  2. The absolute Base Damage is displayed here rather than the percentage.
  3. The movement speed of untamed creatures won’t be developed and leveled up.
  4. Torpor develops every single level on the untamed creatures, but it can’t be developed after they are domesticated.

Remember, the values are only applied for optimum instances, they always carry additional supplies.

Ingredients for   Kibble (Diplo Egg): 1 ×   Diplo Egg , 1 ×   Savoroot , 1 ×   Rare Flower , 2 ×   Mejoberry , 3 ×   Fiber , 1 ×   Water

KO Strategy

Like a Rex, the torpor of Allosaurus is very high. However, if you are able to defeat it, it will tame quickly. If you want to KO Allosaurus, you need to separate one out, or you can stay on a large rock. You must watch out not to hurt others while trying to domesticate. This could be because one Allosaurus will rush around trying to get another pack. But, if you think you can tempt one and make it go into the circle for the domestication, you will be able to tackle the rest members of the packs safe and sound. This method is kind of helpful if you decide to domesticate the Alpha of the Allosaurus group. When trying to single out and annihilating the other members, you will be able to get rid of the Alpha buff. The higher levels are kind of effortless to destroy by using Bows and Crossbows if you launch the shots continuously.

Combat

This part will illustrate how to battle against the Allosaurus.

General

You shouldn’t make an effort to destroy the leader of the pack initially. You can kill the other ones, and the status of the pack leader will be reduced a lot. If there are at least 4 members in the group, destroy the leader will only advance a discrepant one.

Strategy

With the ranged weapons, you will be able to destroy them little by little. Make sure that you got a secure location where they can’t attack you.

Weaponry

You shouldn’t undertake a group of Allosaurus unless you got a group of dinosaurs.

Dangers

One Allosaurus is kind of perilous, a group of these creatures will become very deadly. If the pack leaders make a certain survivor bleed, surely that one will take more damage even if he/she is trying to escape away from the battle. The humans need to have at least 158% of movement speed so that they can overtake the Allosaurus.

Weakness

The health of Allosaurus is very low.

Utility

Roles

Travel: Allosaurus can become a perfect travel mount for the survivors since most of other creatures will not assault it. Also, they have a good movement speed and weight compared to Trikes. But, their stamina at the beginning is kind of low. (Level up Stamina and Weight)

Hunting: They can become very good in a group, but a solitary Allosaurus will be also able to hunt well by themselves as long as the rider won’t send them out into a combat against creatures that are at higher level.  When being in a group, they can challenge the Bronto or Rex to a fight and gain control over those creatures. But you must be aware that your stamina can be depleted fast, and if you keep fighting, your Allosaurus can be defeated. (Level up Health, Stamina, and Melee)

Breeding

The breeding information of Allosaurus below here is collected from a private account:

  • Egg Hatching: Roughly 2 Hours 45 Minutes.
  • Baby Stage: Roughly 6 Hours 15 Minutes
  • Juvenile Stage: Roughly 20 Hours
  • Adolescent Stage: Roughly 22 Hours
  • The Total Breeding Time is roughly 2 Days, 3 Hours and 5 Minutes.

It took 3 hours 45 minute Increments for the Imprinting Scheduling to happen while developing by 9% for each. This indirectly says roughly 12 Imprints that are obtainable if the scheduled properly.

Learning the imprinting arranging times and percent develop for each, the math seems to be inaccurate a bit within a level of 5-6 hours. The extra info (if any) should be attached or modified from here. This is the exact model possible for the breeding info of Allosaurus at the moment.

Notes/Trivia

The Dossier was launched on 08/26/15

The Allosaurs in real life didn’t have a strong bite, but it had a strong neck muscles and a boosted skull.

Occasionally, if a pack has at least Allosaurus, there will be various Alpha boost that they can get. This could be because there are sufficient for two or more groups out of the bigger group which was already set up. The lower-level ones will roar after the highest-level one.
