There are plenty of creatures that you may have already come across in ARK Survival Evolved. If you are an adventurous player and want to bump into more creatures when wandering around the island, you should find out a new one called Hyaenodon. This is one of the most difficult hunters in packs on the island and it mostly inhabits the mountains or tundras. It’s a carnivorous hunter that you should be careful to fight against, especially when you encounter the whole pack of Hyaenodon. Alright, it’s time to find out more information about this creature now! More updates will be launched in future.

Basic Info

Wild: Hyaendon Dirus is considered as one of the tough pack hunters on the island. It’s a carnivore that you can see in the mountains and tundras and usually shows up in groups of 3 to 5. This is such a smart predator and has a good thought about joining a fight against other creatures. It will make a decision on getting involved in a battle or not if the payment for that is worth the risk of getting hurt.

Domesticated: Although it has a small size that couldn’t be ridden, it’s still a famous pet. With their smartness, you can train them more, and they can be perfect hunting dogs due to their natural power in the pack. They will try to swallow raw flesh off the bone in order to regain their health fast. After regenerating health, they can be sure to take more punishment. The sight that usually happens on the tundra is about one rider mounting a canis with a group of Hyaenodon beside.

Known Information: Apparently, Hyaenodon doesn’t like to join a fight unless it’s in danger or there is any vulnerable prey nearby. This personality will change fast, though, nearby any weak or wounded creatures. This creature will turn into very hostile, and the whole pack will launch the assaults continuously. With every brutal chewing of scavenged meat, the Hyaenodon can regenerate health and stamina more quickly.

Hyaenodon is an intelligent creature, they will consider and determine if the payment is worth the danger before joining a fight. They will only attack you if you are vulnerable or hurt.

The Hyaenodon is a brutal and carnivorous hunter living in mountains or tundras. They bear the resemblance to some hyenas in modern time, however, they are not related to those modern creatures.
