Here comes a new Dino Dossier that will bring you wonderful information about Phiomia! Are you ready to say hi to this creature in ARK Survival Evolved? It’s an interesting herd animal that you can found on the island. So, how to tame it? Does it have any specific characteristics? Let’s find out right now!
Wild: Phiomia ignavus is a heard animal living on the island in the game. They are kind of tiny enough for being defeated by any dangerous predator, but, it’s big enough to offer a good source of meat.
Domesticated: Although the player is totally able to ride on a Phiomia, these creatures are still an inadequate choice. They are hard-working creatures, and there are several tribes who raise a herd of these creatures as livestock. These creatures are always in need of defense, as they are such horrible fighters.
Known Information: If it weren’t for the defense of the flock, and their capability to escape away from the deadly predator, these creatures would be chased down and killed, or even worse, they would be completely extinct. Thanks to the tusks and trunk, this creature is versatile to become a scavenger and they usually loot the plant life from the ground. The tusks are utilized to dig out loose plant life, and the chubby trunk will be utilized to move the foliage into the mouth. The grown-up Phiomia usually excavate the food for the young, and of course, watching a little Phiomia trying to utilize its trunk is very awesome!
Phiomia will escape away from the human when it’s under attack. If there is no development in the speed of the player, he/she can be surpassed till the creature finds it secure and it won’t run anymore. If you want to chase down a Phiomia, you should try to get closer to the rocks or the under cliffs, because the Phiomia will surely sprint into those obstacles and it will get cornered for certainty.
This creature is kind of like a large elephant. It mostly spawns with black, greys, marshy brown colors, along with its cool tusks, a trunk that can make it very stunning. It can be depicted as a big heavy tapir that has tusks or even a pig that has an unusual look.

- The absolute Base Damage is displayed here rather than the percentage
- The movement speed of wild creatures won’t be developed
- The Torpor develops every single level on the untamed creatures, but won’t be developed after they are domesticated.

Wild Stats Level-up
To check out the stats that are pinpointed, just input the values of an untamed creature. The green values on a creature that has a high level mean that it’s very great at breeding. If you succeeded in domesticating a creature, you could regain the breeding-stats by utilizing this tool called ARK Stats Extractor
|Melee Damage [%]||100||0|
After domestication, the creature can get some bonuses on several stats relying on the taming success. This will cause it to be very tough for regaining the levels on a domesticated creature. Hence, this tool can only work on untamed creatures, but it can bring such a wonderful impression, how well the stats are given out.
You should always remember that the values are optimum cases, they always carry additional supplies.
You can check out an external taming calculator to get a level-dependent count of the resources required.

Or, the player can go destroy it by the time it creates the distance between you and it. Alternatively, you can take the advantage of the terrain, try to push it that way, make it sprint into a wall. Using this way will help you defeat any anxious dinosaur that isn’t able to fly.
You should begin with brutal plenty of stabs using your sword, or pike or spear. If those weapons can’t work, and the dinosaur is still alive, you need to destroy it from a far distance using the ranged weapons.

When you catch sight of a Phiomia running, sometimes, it can be a sign telling you that there is probably a big animal sprinting in your direction. Be aware of those events when you are around nearby those locations.
The Phiomia won’t be able to counter or injury the player. Provided that it’s the only creature there, you can destroy it easily.
