Here comes another creature in ARK Survival Evolved! Check out the Troodon and learn awesome information about this creature in the game. At the moment, you won’t be able to find out much about it, more updates and features of Troodon will be added in the forthcoming time. Let’s have a look at some details below now!

Basic Info

Dossier

Wild: Troodon is considered as the smartest creature on this island. He can adapt and learn about stuff very fast. Also, it can fully apprehend many experiences as well as perceive the experiences faster than other animals, even including survivors too. Due to its unique social nature, it is able to teach its mates and they surely can become very intelligent.

Domesticated: At first, Troodon was believed to be unable to tame, but then, there was one solitary human going with one Troodon. This person did let the Troodon hunt for some tiny creatures of his tribe, then finally, this creature began to go behind him. Apparently, Troodon can obtain the faith from a social approach, which gives it a chance for hunting, even though it’s too smart to be tamed.

Known Information: If the intelligence doesn’t make it intimidating, then the strategies and biology of this creature will cause it to be very fearful. Normally, it usually hunts in the pack when the night comes, if you’re defenseless, you may be seen by this creature and instantly, you will become its primary prey. This bravery can be extremely deadly to the saw-toothed fang’s poison, which totally depletes more stamina from the other creatures, but will cause humans to be paralyzed instantly. However, luckily, Troodon is just reasonably small. If it were larger, it would become the most dangerous creature in the game.

Appearance

Troodon is a tiny relative of Raptors and it is no less perilous. It possesses big eyes which are so great for searching for the prey at night. With saw-toothed teeth, it can totally hurt some unfortunate victims, like draining their stamina and make them paralyzed . Also, it’s kind of poisonous too! Troodon is also covered with feathers, which is opposed to other naked tiny carnivorous dinosaurs of the island.

Color Scheme and Regions

At the moment, there is no info about its original color and regions because this creature is not released yet in the game.

Drops

  • Raw Meat

The information about drops may not be true since it’s just a speculation based on some info of other identical creatures.

Notes/Trivia

The “Domesticated” section of the Dossier claimed that Troodon would have its own domesticating mechanics, maybe by giving it some live prey to eat.

The Dossier was officially launched on November 9, 2015

Although Troodon was known as one of the most intelligent kinds of creatures in the game, it was less intelligent than the dossier indicated. And it’s just only as clever as an Opossum in the modern time.

According to what dossier said, Troodon has a poisonous bite that can make the human prey Paralyzed . This can be an allusion to the Troodons showing up in the Jurassic Park series, and it’s nocturnal, as well as got a poisonous bite. More interesting, the bite of Troodon that appeared in Jurassic Park was toxic too and it can make the humans Paralyzed . At the early stage, the bite will create some hallucinations and make the victim out of control, accompanied by convulsions until that victim is completely paralyzed and has brain death.

The skull shown in the dossier of Troodon is almost the same as Dromaeosaurus in appearance.

Troodon is believed to be an omnivore in the modern time because of its unique serrated teeth.
